Arisyn’s Thoughts

[Morning whispers]

Arisyn: Greetings! What does the new morning bring? How about a new day for you? Are you ready to meet it with open arms and a willingness to change?
Jim: I’m not sure. Is there something I should be doing?
Arisyn: It depends on what your goals are, but as you’ve said before, your main goal is to stay focused on the moment.
Jim: Yes, that’s my focus and it’s always a challenge for me.
Arisyn: There are things you can do to keep your mind on track, like meditation or prayer, but most of all you need to trust in your inner guidance system. This is what will show you the way. If you’re not feeling right about something and it doesn’t feel right, then don’t do it!
Jim: That sounds good, but I just don’t know how to tell if something feels right or not sometimes.
Arisyn: You can ask for guidance in this regard also. If you aren’t sure what direction to go in at any given time, then ask yourself why? What is your motivation behind the action that you are considering taking? Do you have an agenda? Are you trying to prove something to someone else or yourself?
Jim: I guess not really. I just want to get things done and do them right so they don’t come back later on me as problems.
Arisyn: You need to trust your inner guidance system more than anything else, Jim. It will show you the way if only you listen for it!
Jim: OK, but what about when I have a decision to make and there are different options? How do I know which one is right or wrong?
Arisyn: You need to trust yourself again here as well, Jim. Just ask yourself why each option feels good or bad and then go with whichever one makes sense. For example, if you’re considering taking an action that might hurt someone else in some way but it would benefit your career greatly—then this is probably not the best choice for you because it doesn’t align with what we know as being ethical behavior (which should always be our first priority).
Jim: OK, thanks. I guess I need to trust myself more than anything else!
Arisyn:
