Arisyn’s Thoughts

[Morning whispers]

Arisyn: My greetings, my beloved ones. I am Arisyn, and I come to you with a question that is very important for all of us to consider. It is this: “What does it mean for each of us individually to be the best that we can be?” That may seem like an odd question, but in fact it is one that has been at the heart of humanity’s evolution during these past few years.
There are so many different ways you could approach the answer to this question. You could begin by considering what you do for a living or what your occupation is. In other words, how would you define yourself in terms of work? There is nothing wrong with that; it is important to have an occupation and to have something to do. But if your occupation is the only thing you think about during the day, then I am afraid that this will not be enough for you. You need to broaden your definition of self.
Another way that some people approach the question is by considering what they like to do in their spare time or how they spend their leisure hours. Someone could say that he loves to go fishing, and if this is his passion then it might be enough for him to define himself as a fisherman. But again I would urge you not to limit yourself so narrowly. You are more than just what you do for your occupation or in your free time.
There is another way that some people define themselves: by their relationships with other people. They say, “I am my husband’s wife,” or “I am my children’s mother.” This can be a very useful approach to take; it helps us see ourselves as part of a larger whole. But again I would ask you to go beyond this definition too and consider what else makes up your identity?
There is one final way that some people define themselves: by their belief system or worldview. They might say, “I am an atheist,” or “I believe in God.” This approach can be very useful because it allows us to see ourselves as part of something bigger than ourselves—something that transcends our individual selves and connects us all together into one larger whole. But even here I would ask you not to limit yourself too much; there is more to being human than just what we believe in or don’t believe in.
So how do you
