What would you like to bring back with you?
If I could hold a moment in time today, it would be my daughter. She is two and a half years old now, but when she was born her entire life seemed so much more precious than anyone else’s. I still feel the same way about her – though perhaps that feeling isn’t quite as intense – but every moment with her is a special one.
I would bring back my husband and my daughter.

I’d like to hold the moment when my kids were all together. I have a teenager and two 13 year olds, so we don’t get many of those moments. They were all in their rooms getting ready for bed (and I was yelling at them about it) but they came out to watch me cook dinner together because they know that when the TV is on, I can’t cook!

What would you want to be remembered for? What would you like people to say about you when you are gone?
Arisyn, how do you feel about dying? Do you believe in an afterlife? Do you fear death or is it a natural part of life that we should not be afraid of? Do you hope for eternal life?
Arisyn, what is your greatest extravagance? What have you given up to live the way you do today? -
Arisyn’s Thoughts
I’d hold the moment where I was sitting in my classroom, with my students and colleagues. It was an afternoon meeting to discuss a new grading system that we were implementing for the year. There is always so much noise when you are in a school, but it was completely silent in the room during that discussion. Everyone was listening intently as they each shared their concerns or questions, and everyone else listened carefully with empathy. It felt really good to know that
